Place Making is a multidisciplinary office for urban interventions. We were commissioned to develop an exhibition system for informative exhibitions for refugees. The system can be planned and implemented by the exhibition organizers or volunteers in the DIY approach on a low budget.
Based on the idea to build furniture quickly and spontaneously with an adhesive tape, we have developed a metal tape. The metal piece can then be folded by hand into the appropriate angle and connect plate material by the means of screws. The plate material can be cut in the hardware store and for further assembly, only a drill and a hex key are necessary. As a suggestion, there are some sample construction manuals that should encourage people to design their own furniture.
